Solution of scientific and applied problems related to the study of the geological structure and history of the bottom formation of the Russian water areas and adjacent land, including:

  • establishment of the agreed digital databases of geological and geophysical data (primarily magnetometric and gravimetric data) according to the regions studied, using the Customer's materials and information accumulated by the All-Russian Scientific and Research Institute of Geology and Mineral Resources of the World Ocean;
  • planning of new field sea shipborne and aerogeophysical (magnetometric and gravimetric) studies in the Russian water areas and adjacent land, its scientific justification and methodological support;
  • complex interpretation of geological and geophysical materials provided by the Customer and accumulated in the Institute's databases (creation of the complex 2D and 3D models of the deep crust structure);
  • study of regional features of the geological structure and history of the bottom formation of the Russian water areas and the World Ocean as a whole;
  • addressing the issues related to the geological mapping of the Russia's offshore seas and forecasting their mineral and raw materials potential;
  • establishment of the advanced geophysical bases to the sheets of the State Geological Map with the scales of 1:1 000 000 and 1:200 000, covering the offshore seas, islands and the adjacent land of Russia;
  • participation in the joint projects related to the establishment of summary maps of potential fields of the Arctic Ocean - anomalous magnetic field and gravity field, and also with their subsequent geological interpretation;
  • peer review of the projects and reports of third-party organizations on the planned and completed research and geological exploration works in the Russian waters;
  • provision of the consulting services on issues related to the modern methods of processing, linking and mapping of the results of the magnetometric and gravimetric studies, as well as their complex interpretation with seismic, bathymetric and other data
